Treasure City is an anthology film made up of several interrelated stories. It deals with questions of dominance and vulnerability in human relationships, at the border of imagination and reality. This might be between lovers, between friends, between parents and children or between the state and its citizens.
The plot takes place over the course of a single night and combines three major storylines that are moving towards new stories and characters: a conflict between a protestant priest and his family; a political activist's struggle with her teenage daughter; and a middle-aged actor’s marriage crisis.
